Every Day is Special

| March 27, 2014 | 0 Comments

Paulo Coelho; a Brazilian lyricist, novelist, and author of the world-renowned book The Alchemist tells us that “You can become blind by seeing each day as a similar one. Each day is a different one, each day brings a miracle of its own. It’s just a matter of paying attention to this miracle.” He’s absolutely correct. No matter how monotonous and routine your days may seem – like waking up, going to class, studying, finding time to eat, going to sleep, and starting all over again – they are not. No one day is the same, something strange and exciting always happens, you just have to have your eyes open.

To further the idea that each and every day that you live on the planet is unique and completely different from the previous, below are some photographs of places, animals, and landscapes that I’ve seen recently. Take a look at these and think about what you’ve seen, touched, tasted or felt that makes your day special.

Andrew Lacqua

About the Author ()

One of four, Andrew likes to think that he's the coolest. After all, he's an avid long boarder and ukelele player, an ardent animal lover, and proud owner of a fish tank (he used to have five but then he had to go to college). When Andrew isn't busy watching Discovery Channel, flaunting his brightly colored beanies around campus, or pondering the mysteries of life, he's busy studying biology (his one true love). If this were a perfect world, Andrew would probably live in a hut in the rainforest with monkeys somewhere in Central America.
