Welcome Admitted Students 2016!

| April 6, 2012

Congratulations to the newly admitted Boston University class of 2016! I write to you as a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, a proud Terrier, and a humble Culture Shock writer. It wasn’t too long ago that I witnessed the gleaming parade of facebook statuses announcing acceptance into the next BU class. Friends from home excitedly exclaimed, “Got into BU! woooOOOooooOOOoo!!!” and “boston university here i come.”

Now it is time for the big decision. Visit campus, take a tour, talk to students, talk to your mom, talk to your dog, and check out our blog! BU Culture Shock is the official blog of the Howard Thurman Center, a multicultural center at BU. You’ll catch a glimpse of life at BU through the thoughts, dreams, stories, and passions of students here. Just click on the hyperlinks and explore BU!

Thinking about studying math? Or dinosaurs? Do you care too much about sports? Interested in Greek life? Want to just go on dates?

BU is a pretty fashionable place with creative people that love food. Breakfast is always a special time for sure. There is a lot to to do here and you couldn’t possibly do it all even if you ran the place. From meditation to museums to mummies, BU’s got it all. So keep an open mind and ask questions!

Again, congratulations – you’ve made it through the uber-stressful college application process and the end is in sight!
